  Question about the new blood card

  ok......i really need to know the answer to the following question and scenario.

  supposing a child at age 14 decides to get baptized.

  the child is then given the new blood card which has now tightened things up with respect to lawyers etc.

  No matter what the Watchtower draws up regarding their blood policies, minors will continue to be given life saving blood transfusions in emergency and non emergency situations. The courts are set up to resolve these issues 24/7.

  The two elders threaten my sister again

  as i reported here in this forum, some time ago, my sister was constantly harried by two elders so as to be submitted to a judiciary committee for apostasy.

  these two elders were constantly hounding her in the street when she walks to go to her job.

  so she had to send them a notary letter in which she wrote that she would attend the judiciary committee only with her attorney.

  In Los Angeles after showing the judge video of elders standing in the dark at my entry waiting for me to come home at night and entering my garage as I pulled my vehicle in, I was granted permanent restraining orders against each elder individually and any "third party" related to the "congregation" and "organization of Jehovah's Witnesses"

  Through video evidence once again, I was able to bring violation charges through the city attorney's office upon two separate individuals. While the penalty for them was light, 10 days community service, it sent a clear message and I have not had any issues for several years with local JWs. It also elevated the matter from civil to criminal and that seems to have put the elders in check.

  It really depends on the lengths you want to go through to use the law in your location and how obstinate the JWs will be.

  Be careful about using the "suicidal depression" tactic. If you have children or are going through a nasty divorce it will most certainly be used against you in court.

  I was disappointed in the season finale. Yes we gained insights into Morgan's character. We were introduced finally to the real Negan. But there was no crescendo in this episode. I felt slighted with being teased with a fade to black that left me as clueless as the teaser a week before. I can't help but walk away from this season finale feeling I was victim of commercial marketing 50% story, 50% commercials and left hanging on who Lucille claims. The 100th issue of the comics did not shy away from giving the goods and I feel the TV series disrespected that assumed tradition by baiting and switching. Great you hooked fans to tune in months from now to find out who buys the farm, but you may have driven fans away who feel they deserved more. Writers are going to have to make it up to fans when the season resumes, but I think it is a tall order. Not the best season finale. There are clues if you study camera angles and lighting and even script. But I won't post my guess as it would be a spoiler. Still a marvelous TV show. Still a fan. Just slightly disappointed.

  I agree with what Simon said, although I think more people today are jumping out of the boat and just keeping it within swimming distance. A decade ago someone would jump out of the boat, grab you by your neck and haul you back on board. Not anymore. Most are happy to watch the drifters, some even do so longingly.

  protesters shut down a trump rally.

  massive numbers of people are out in chicago and have shut his event down.

  there were scuffles inside the event.. despite his lame attempt to pretend the violence he instigates is nothing to do with him it's clear that it is as the cnn quotes during the last event showed only too well.. this doesn't happen at anyone else's events - candidates have even given up the stage to protesters, not called for them to be beaten and punched.. trump is an ugly person and this is just a small taste of what a future under his rule would be like.. shame on the gop for not kicking his ass out.

  i was reading a post made by a female jw on another forum that was answering a question regarding under age baptism and underage girls speaking to elders regarding sexual matters.

  her answer was sickening and it got me wondering whether the rc has overlooked a very serious problem.this is a link to her commentshttp://en.allexperts.com/q/jehovah-s-witness-1617/2015/8/baptism-1919.htmdid the rc ask for a list of victims or underage persons who had been subjected to a judicial committee?given that there is a practice of baptising children and young teenagers, i don't doubt that a number of them would have been subjected to their own jc in regards to sexual issues.

  we have even heard of cases where young females have been raped but have been found guilty of fornication after a jc.the only files given to the rc was those of perpetrators.the watchtower would have kept records of underage persons who have been subject to a jc in relation to sexual matters.

  There are a handful of cases being handled by abuse attorneys for JW/former JW victims when elements like this are part of the case. In one California case involving a minor, a video was made of the sexual abuse and shared with the BOE. A police report was never made and in litigation those elders now face criminal charges of viewing child pornography.

  I would suspect that with the number of advocates working with the ARC regarding CSA that these issues and scenarios have been thoroughly covered. The ARC may have and most likely did come across these scenarios during the depositions of thousands of victim/survivors.

  Nonetheless, good point and good thinking. I will pass along your sentiments to those I know directly working with the ARC.

  Need confirmation: WT bought an entire mountain in China to mine the granite needed for new WT HQ

  someone asked for a second source on this, so i'm putting this out there to those who may have visited the new wt hq lately and know it to be true.

  i had read from others on the ex-jw subreddit that had taken a tour recently at wt hq, that they had been shown photos of a mountain in china, and told that this is where all of the granite is being mined from and shipped over to new york to use at the site of the new wt hq.

  apparently, it was cheaper for them to do this and have the local brothers in china mine it, then having to by tons upon tons of granite here in the usa, even wholesale.

  China is the greatest exporter of Granite to the United States. When you go to vendors anywhere in the US, chances are the slabs have come from China. Costs would not be driven down even if it was possible to purchase a Chinese quarry(or mountain) and have your own labor force(JWs with quarry experience in all phases? NOT LIKELY) preparing the stone for export.

  The story as presented is complete rubbish.

  More likely, WT purchased the equivalent of a "mountain" in granite from a US vendor.(WT could easily set themselves up as a vendor) And like many stories coming from the R&F it has been embellished and amounts to a fairy tale.

  the truth, the org is the truth...ummm...let's think about that...i was thinking that the bible is the truth & what it does is that it reveals the truth about you...the more you read the bible the more you may see yourself & your actions.

  you may be a person who judges people, the bible will show you what's wrong with that...viola, another truth revealed about you.

  you may be a prideful person, you read a story in the bible about that...again, it's another truth revealed about you.
